Church Mission

At Tabernacle of David, Our Mission is….

… to build a church with a strong spiritual atmosphere of worship, faith and purity. Where every member is released into his or her destiny in God; Built up in the image of Christ Jesus and taking the world for Him…

When worship goes up, Blessings come down. At TOD, we love to worship in truth and in spirit, hence we are always blessed, this is why we are the House of Favour…

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. We are a faith loving and believing church with a strong root in Christ Jesus

Psalm 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully.

Brief History

The Tabernacle of David (TOD) was established as one of the House Fellowships setup by late Pastor Eskor Mfon of the City of David in May 2003 with 7 foundation members.

The Fellowship experienced tremendous growth with peak attendance of about 100 members. Towards the end of 2004, the Late Pastor Eskor Mfon instructed that the House Fellowship be converted to a full-fledged Parish.

TOD was inaugurated I November 2005 at the Red Brick House at Km 20, Lekki-Epe Expressway. The church continued to grow. The current location was identified and the land purchased in 2009. The church moved to its current location in Km. 22, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ajah.

The Pioneer Pastor, Pastor Olufemi Monehin resigned from the mission in September 2010.

Pastor Olukayode Pitan resumed as the Pastor-in-charge of TOD in October 17, 2010.

The House Fellowship which started years ago with 7 members by the grace and favour of God became the Provincial Headquarters of Lagos Province 46 on September 1, 2014 with current membership of about 3600.

The church’s administrative activities are coordinated by the Church administrator and he is being assisted by a dedicated team of staff that function under clearly defined sections and divisions geared towards meeting the objectives of the church in line with the vision of RCCG.

Tabernacle of David is able to function largely due to the selfless commitment of over 250 volunteers, who give their time to run various departments, ministries and the systems during the week services, weekend services and other special services that take place in the church.

This set of people make up our workforce. The activities of these volunteers are coordinated by a leadership structure made up of pastors, ministers and head of departments and systems and head of special groups.
